In the month before the scheduled surgery, you will be examined by an anaesthesiologist in the Anaesthesiology Clinic. You will discuss possible types of anaesthesia, and the doctor will explain to you the course of the surgery and what to expect afterwards. Then you will be asked to sign an anesthesia consent form. After the examination, a nurse will give you instructions on the preoperative preparation, laying special emphasis on the preparation of the hand to be operated on. For a few days before the surgery, wash the hand with a brush and apply oily cream a few times a day.
